Valley of Wits
The Valley of Wits is very near the city of Trinidad belonging to the province of Sancti Spiritus in Cuba. Notorious of showing to the world as a symbol to be declared at the XII Meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage World Heritage of Humanity.The village endowed with an environmental coherence unaltered over the years gives the valley a strong expressive unity and a strong sense of time and place, is included as one of the testimonies most important architectural and urban Cuba and America.
Founded the first buildings date from the early eighteenth century, consisting of solid materials and built of brick, so that the state of conservation in our day is optimal. The current use is primarily tourist valley, represented by a sugar museum and pain, with some houses of farmers that have survived even in our time and others that remain in ruins. Also there are remains of the machinery of the mills and rusty shackles, being the first ones who brought wealth and recent martyrdom and pain.
