Pharmaceutical Museum
At the heart of the city of Matanzas, the visitor can find the only French pharmacy which retains all its original instrumental from the date of its founding in 1882. The Pharmaceutical Museum counts among its most important collections of polychrome porcelain jars, which won the table dispensarial bronze medal at the International Exhibition of Paris of 1900, more than 50 books of original recipes of the time, besides a collection of books in four languages that make up the museum's library. They may also find drugs, porcelain pots, tools used in drug development over the past century, medicinal herbs, etc..
