Che Memorial

In the heart of our island in the sunny city of Santa Clara, is the sculptural Memorial Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara, resting place from 17 October 1997 the remains of the heroic guerrilla, Commander Ernesto Che Guevara alongside those of his fellow guerrilla struggle in Bolivia.
At the thirtieth anniversary of the Battle of Santa Clara, the inhabitants of the city in tribute to his Commander, Joint Sculpture erected this memorial site, which construction started on 14 June 1987 and in less than two years was ready.
