Cuba broke record in tourist arrivals

The arrival of international visitors to Cuba ended last year with a figure that surpasses the record set by the country in 2008.

According to data provided by the National Statistics Bureau, last year arrived in our country 429mil 809 exactly two million passengers, primarily from Canada, followed by England, Spain, Italy and Germany.

It was also learned that despite this increase in revenue in the Cuban tourism sector decreased by 11% due to the global economic crisis causing stays short periods and lower purchasing power in the hands of holidaymakers.
