Holguín
Holguin is one of the most beautiful cities in Cuba, is located in the eastern region, 800 km from Havana and is known as the City of Parks.
It was founded in 1525 by Captain García Holguín and eventually was developed to the point that the port of Gibara, belonging to this region became one of the principal of Eastern Cuba.
Prominent in many parks surrounding the Parque San Jose, San Isidoro Park, Parque Marti, Parque de las Flores, among others. The most important of all is the Calixto Garcia Park, located in the center of the city.
Hallmark of the city is the Loma de la Cruz, from which it can be seen throughout the city.
Holguin has an international airport "Frank Pais", a large baseball stadium and several attractions that make it one of the most beautiful cities and friendly Cuba.
